Top 5 Paddles of 2022

2022 was filled with lots of new and exciting adventures making it hard to choose the best of the best. Below are my top 5 paddles of 2022.

Top 5 paddles in under 3 minutes:

1. Hamilton, Ontario

Paddling in the dead of winter through the ice at sunset on Lake Ontario. 2022 was my first full year of paddling in the wintertime and on this particular evening, my partner Tony was with me to experience the beauty of the ice and nature in the wintertime.

Check out Cootes Paradise, my favourite Hamilton location in the spring and summer.

2. Tobermory, Ontario

Historic shipwrecks, the Niagara Escarpment limestone and Georgian Bay blue-green waters on Lake Huron. Tobermory, located on the tip of the Bruce Peninsula has lots to offer!

3. Boca Grande, Florida

Going on tour with Tracie from Paddleboard Adventures to learn about the local area and wildlife and seeing manatees for the first time! Check out this Reel from our adventure together.

4. Moraine Lake, Alberta

An iconic Canadian spot with mountains cascading into the glacier-fed blue water. It was humbling and absolutely mind-blowing to paddle beside among the mountains!

5. Algonquin Park, Ontario

My first backcountry paddle boarding trip. The beauty of nature, testing my board with gear, the sound of loons, and time with friends was all good for the soul.
